The ongoing Bollowood strike has ended after a 14 hour marathon negotiation between the movie producers and the Multiplex chains (Cinemax, Fun Cinemas, Big, Inox, PVR) is finally over! The strike strike had stopped the screening of films and had left cinema bubbs no choice but watch re-runs and head for weekend holiday trips.
The films to be released are likely to be "Kal Kisne Dekha", "Jashn" and " New York" and "Kambhakkth Ishq".
As reported by various news channels, President of the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPPA) Mukesh Bhatt confirmed that movies will start screening at the multiplex from June 12, 2009 onwards.
For us Indians, bollwood movies are still the cheapest and the best entertainment. Its what we call ""value for money". That is maybe because for most of the indian population there isn't a cheaper mode of entertainment. Not only entertainment, its a way to think big, a way to dream big, a way to have ambitions.
Even if you are not a crazy bollywood fan, with the coming of Multiplexes, an era of experimentation i.e Multiplex Movies, has started. Once in a while we do come across movies from which we expect nothing, but they turn out to be great entertainers.
So lets get geared up for some great entertainment for the coming months...
Long Live Bollywood...
